Join Straight To The Source for an exclusive opportunity to explore the culture, flavours and sought-after produce of the Grampians and Wimmera region west of Melbourne.
On this trip, you will learn about sustainable and biodynamic farming, go foraging for native plants, learn all about the production of extra virgin olive oil, and, hand-harvest Pink Lake salt.
Immerse yourself in the region, and with your peers, as you experience a private guided tour of Mount Zero Olive’s grove en route to a local indigenous rock art shelter, a fire-pit dinner showcasing seasonal Wimmera produce and a night in the olive grove in bell-tents pitched under the stars, in the foothills of the majestic Grampians.
The next morning you will head off to hand-harvest Mount Zero Pink Lake Salt in collaboration with the local traditional owners, the peoples of the Wotjobaluk Nations, followed by lunch on the lake. The afternoon will finish at family-owned award-winning Best’s Wines before we head back to Melbourne.
Straight To The Source takes care of all details and logistics, including round-trip luxury coach transportation from Melbourne’s CBD*, meals & accompanying beverages, 1 night’s tent accommodation, master-classes, workshops and private access farm tours.
